I have also seen one in person and "played with all the buttons." Its still crap IMHO and I also dont care what anyone else says. The Gallardo is still the economy version of the Murci.

Thats like saying the 360 is the economy version of the 575...two different cars (murci and gallardo) for two different markets...

It will all come to a head when Audi has a version of the Gallardo which will simply deflate any perseived value of the Lambo. The Audi will undercut the Lambo in price and up the Lambo in quality, workmanship, dealer network, and reliability. After that, I am sure VW will want to get a product out using the Lambo. One big VW circle. Audi Lemans=Lambo Gallardo=VW ??

Does wonders for a marque doesn't it?

Out of curiosity, how does it feel when the kid in the Honda with the fart can blows your doors off?
ben is getting a Carerra GT... which kicks any lambos sorry ***.

I have to say that the Murci is one of my favorite cars EVER, I absolutly love it, and I love the Gallardo almost as much. Kudos to Lamborghini for making 2 beautifull Italian monsters!!!

Not quite true. The 360 is not based on the 575. The gallardo clearly was produced with its big brothers image in mind but with a much more affordable price tag. To each his own, but the gallardo IMO will always be in the shadow of its big brother in every aspect. But, then again, you get what you pay for.

You are entitled to your opinion. I have driven one and am willing to cancel my Porsche for one, although I am trying to get a deal worked so I can have both. I love the Gallardo, (of course I actually drove it), mine will option out at around 190k so ... not sure what "economy version" you are talking about.

The Gallardo is most certainly not the economy version of the Murci. 2 completely different cars, for 2 different markets.

Kudos to those that are not brand blinded. Sorry for the others that are, and dismiss other marks with unwarranted misconceptions.

As for Skank, thanks for the avatar, and sorry your mother dropped you on your head at birth.

As for the CGT, kicking any Lambos ***, i agree. Awesome car, but very pricey.

The ignorance of this board is astounding. Here is a list of Diablo’s’ that will handily hand the Carrara GT its’ ***.
2000 Diablo Coatl(ugly as hell but fast). Top speed 239.2 0-60 3.54
1997 Diablo Evo GT1 Top speed 214.4 0-60 3.5
1998 Diablo Evo GTR Top speed 217.5 0-60 3.3
1999 Diablo GT(one of my favs) Top speed 211.0 0-60 3.7
1999 Diablo GTR Top speed 210.0 0-60 3.5
1996 Diablo SE30 Jota Top speed 211.3 0-60 3.9
1996 Diablo VTTT Top speed 222.0 0-60 3.2
Yes, there are Porsches’ out there that will out run these Diablo’s, however some people should do some research before making such bold statements. Furthermore, for the last few years Audi has been said to have the best interiors in the business. Therefore, saying that the Gallardo has the interior of an Audi should be taken as a compliment.

The GT and GTR is not street legal, here is a quote from allan himself, "THE GT IS NOT STREET LEGAL IN THE U.S. If it were, id have one."

And the CGT is faster and quicker than the SE30, plus, the Jota is not street legal either.
