As for implying unreliability, think again. My Lambos have been just as reliable if not more so than any Porsche ive owned even with Nitrous. If you can say youve only changed the oil in your 996TT in many years of ownership, then you can say your car has been as reliable as my Lambo.
Visibility? You get used to it, only difficult in backing up and then it becomes second nature.
Poor aerodynamics? Check again, Low 30's.
Slow? 210mph, and High 11's at 120+ out the box slow?
Audi to launch it sales? Lambo survived, albeit just barely on a single supercar for most of its life. The Countach, then the Diablo. Id like to see Porsche have survived on only 930 sales.
Overpriced? Not inmo. Lambo is the only car you can buy, and drive for 25 years, that will always be a showstopper. In 25 years, the Porsche will be just another old Porsche. Drive a 25 year old Countach next to your 996TT and see which one gets noticed.
For the openminded others, please dont take this as my bashing on Porsche, as it is my second favorite car company, much moreso than Ferrari.

The Lambo is your daily driver is it? I'll bet if I buy a Ferrari and rive it 800 miles every 5 years I won't have any problems. Is that reliable?? You see many Porsche's because they build the superior product at a relative bargain. You see, you must sell cars to do r&d to build a superior better handling car. Lambo has to rely on Audi to make any moves. Can't sell enough cars, how you expect to reinvest?? New product every 10 years, wow, pretty impressive!! Maybe the next restyle in 2014 will find Peugeot buidling their engine and outsourcing their brakes to Clio to work on. Has there ever been anyone in the entire world that used their Lambo as a daily driver? Anyone with any kind of miles that can confirm your perceived reliabilty? How about dealer network? Part availability?
Oh, btw, 25 yr old Lambo? Where? Oh, I know you mean those kit cars with fiero engines right? Lou

As a matter of fact , i do use my Diablo as a daily driver, and i know several others who do also. A dealer network? When i lived in South Florida, just around the corner. In Arizona, newly opened, just around the corner. Hawaii? Right on Oahu. Works for me.
Please, do not make stupid innuendos. If youd like, i can remind you that Porsche came from Vw, ala the Beetle. Yes, Porsches sell very well, since they are affordable by all. As for Lambo doing a restyle every 10 years, they dont need to restly more often than that, they are always ahead of their time.
As for those 25 year old Lambos, go ahead and drive a 79 Countach Lp400s next to your Porsche. See which one gets more respect beetle boy.

I do not see any valid point in your ranting. VW owns Audi which owns, you guessed it Lambo. I urge you to find 1 VW part in my 911 Turbo. Do you think the new Lambos may have VW parts?? I would bet they do. As for the 1979 Lambo, I have never seen one as I do not search salvage yards for parts. Run it next to my turbo and all you'll accomplish is a Lambo full of exhaust fumes as would be the same fate you would accomplish if you pulled up next to me. Porsche = driver's car---Lambo=posear car. Porsche's affordable by all?? What planet are you from? The majority of 911 Turbo/GT2 buyers are the same buyers that look at a car like the Gallardo. I do not see Lambos as daily drivers. Ask Tim, he has had to rebuild and retool quite a bit and with not that many miles on his Countach. Anyway take care of yourself Allen, enjoy your vehicle and really, lighten up.

Comparing Tims Countach to a modern day Lambo is comparing apples to oranges. Night and day difference. Is the Porsche a better daily driver... yes it is. Only because its not a fiasco every time you take it out. As for the Lambo being a posear car, not at all. Ive owned just about every car out there, and nothing puts a smile on your face better than a Lambo.
If you like comparing track times, the big over grown Murcielago, recently ran a 7.43 on the Nurburgring, clocked 1.12 at Hockenheim, and holds the record time on Top Gears track. All considerably better than any stock Porsche.

Folks, This Guy is For Real..........
10. Sounds to me like you have an inferiority complex.
9. The definition of exotic in my opinion, is a car that i dont see coming and going on every street corner. Something untrue of the Porsche.
8. Get real. Judging by your choice of cars, i can see that you like numb, and uninspiring vehicles.
7. Myself personally, im going to buy a 996TT now so that when its raining, i dont have to get my other cars dirty.
6. Also, dont get me wrong, i too would buy a SL600 or an Rs6 if i were in financial straits.
5. As for Fchat, if i dont get along with some people there, half the time its for defending Porsches, which to them is the bottem of the barrel.
4. Please, do not make stupid innuendos. If youd like, i can remind you that Porsche came from Vw, ala the Beetle.
3. Yes, Porsches sell very well, since they are affordable by all.
2. As for those 25 year old Lambos, go ahead and drive a 79 Countach Lp400s next to your Porsche. See which one gets more respect beetle boy.
1. Arrogance? You must be mistaking arrogance for confidence.

All right, I did do a lot of work on my Lambo. Very little of it was “necessary”. I did it because I wanted to own the car for 20 years so I said make it perfect. Further, I said make it handle the track. These are pretty big demands for a 20 year old car, and I had to pay for it.
Now, I bought a turbo. Why? I broke a spindle in the middle of a track turn on the lambo. I have two young kids and do not accept mechanical failure as an excuse so ... off to the most reliable, track performing car made ... P. (Yes, the Pcar can break, just way less likely than the Lambo.)
Sadly, most Lambos do go to posers in my view. Few people know how to drive them hard and are willing to do it. I thought the notoriety the Lambo brought was a drawback (just my personal preference). It attracts everybody over almost everything. It really is quite amazing and I don't like that attention from strangers. Appreciation from respectable, informed persons, sure, and you get a lot of those, but you get more baggy pants, link key chain, mullet types than you would ever want.
I still love the Lambo but I will probably sell it. I want to improve my skills driving the tt and I don’t do that while I’m in the seat of the Lambo. Will I miss it, yes. You really need to own one to understand just how amazing and special these cars are. Pains in the *** … sure, but that doesn’t stop you from wanting to fire it up the next nice day that happens around. And I am still trying to decide if I can bear to sell it. The Pcar is a great car, the Lambo is rolling artwork. Very different, that’s all there is to it.

The raclette and fondue was great by the way. I bought the car for about $70k. Put over $40k into it. What can I sell it for … hmm don’t know but I’m sure I’ll take a major haircut. I never would have put the cash into it if I had any intent on selling it obviously. Right now I plan to put it up for sale in the spring … I think!
