In a race car maybe, but I'm not doing that to my car. And while you are making the car more likely to crash by putting it on track, making it less crash worthy by removing bumper supports. Not worth it for DE's IMO, not even worth it (to me) for my time trials.
I've just seen the heat sheilds, they dont weigh enough to be worth taking out. I'll keep mine in. Also held a rear bumper support, it's very tempting to remove, but not going to do that either, but I can imagine what that removed and straight pipes could add to the car balance and weight loss.
airbag light goes on... I still didnt put the carpet back in... but yes I hear you can shave the heavy foam off..

If you put a 2ohm resistor inline at airbag connection, it will eliminate the airbag light.
