Zo6 or 03 TT...need help!
This thread has gone no where. It's now just about who's car is better. C4, i'd say the Stang' would give your M3 a run for its money, and i'd put money on your car to break down before the Stang'. Not trying to start a argument here, just giving my opinion.

one of ym best friends has a gt500 and i think even he would admit his car cant keep up with mine in the twisties. as for breaking down, thin what you want.

M3's are great cars...one thing they're missing is *****. A 500bhp M3 would be nice.
As far as reliability, my car is just fine. 13K HARD miles and nothing wrong (outside of a TSB on the trans; the early guys got an incorrect alignment pin for the flywheel).
On a track, my only problem would be heat soak. A 20 minute session would do her in for at least an hour.

heat soak does suck, but thats kinda expected...my friend says even on a 70 degree day he gets it and has soak problems.

Hate to do it to you, check it this post on the forum. Looks like nothing is perfect.
Well I wasnt going to post this but it may be interesting to some.
At the track at sebring running in the instructors group, car dash lights come on as I am coming out of a corner and wheels lock up.
I get towed back.
car at the shop. all kinds of metals in drain plugs. engine pulled, crank broke, and well you can imagine what the rest of the insides looked like. not one piece salavagable.
Need a new engine.
Car is stock X-50 with an ECU flash? Never modded cause thought car would be more reliable, that's funny.
Well open to anyones thought's on this one!!!

You are right. I am not going to deny every manufacturer has their fair share of problems. The real problem I have with GM is that they had many Z06 motor failures. Hell, I went through two (and I know two more ppl that also went through two). The oil pressure problem was well documented and they tried to deny it. At first, they denied my motor replacement due to a dyno tune being installed. All the while, the actual problem has been their oiling system (their first dry sump). I did my research through the corvetteforum network and many racing shops to find dozens of identical motor failures. When I threatened leagal action, GM did not even call me back. They just replaced the motor.
Comparing a 5 year old Porsche (unknown condition, care and mileage) is stretching it.
I am not going to join some jack asses that are arguing here about sound, looks and the feel of the interior, as these are all subjective. After what I went through with GM, I should be pist and call their Z a pos. Fast, yes. POS, yes. For God's sake, Dodge sure didn't go through this when they introduced the Viper. Argue about the looks, the hood badge or whatever, but the Viper is one track proven car. From my bird's eye view, Corvettes break at the track more than Porsches or Vipers.

I guess you failed to read the part where this car has 5-10k track miles, RACING MILES!!!! I'd take a 100-1 that a Z06 couldnt make half that many miles on a track like Tom drives. Why do you think Race cars have to be rebuilt after every so many miles???? His car was basically a race car the way he drove it. Modded at that. You better be counting blessings to get a Z06 through that many track miles.
How about we list the number of engine seizures of Z06's not even on the track, lets list those, I bet there are 20 of them on CF alone. Find me another 996 TT that blew a motor (and not DMK either, doesnt count)

If you think calling someone a fanboy (which is used by thousands on here) and saying that a 2nd gear pop out issue is attacking someone personally and attacking a car, you are delirious and a big puss crybaby. This is absolutely

I like both vehicles, but I think we can best sum this up with, "You get what you pay for." I'm off to my garage.
