The person who doesnt have any problems at the track isnt driving fast enough
Above is one of the most rank amature statements I have read. I have raced for over 20yrs. the person that has problems is usually the one with the ego to large for his ability.
When I raced Formula Atlantic there were always some big money guys that thought they could buy there way to the front and because they had the best car money could buy they thought they should be quicker than anyone that did not have the same equiptment, they were the ones that were collected in the first lap accidents or the ones that would spin out when they drove over there ability.

I (being the key word here) have driven both and driven both pretty damn hard and the Z06 is more planted with ZERO vibration or wallowing at 150mph. Neither felt as good at 150 as the CaymanS however.....the 996TT and Z06 just got there faster...a good bit faster.
I have four local guys right by me that have '06 and '07 Z06s with anywhere from 6K-23K miles on them and NOT ONE has had ONE issue with their car.

A -- I have no bone in this fight. I just love you tennacity. You took just the opposite approach in the g35driver forum -- the verbal warring between you and Mr. Z06 was enjoyable. You have applied the same tact here. Can't wait to see what you buy next.

Just for the memories " Look man, just enjoy your fastastic plastic. I had one and hated it. To each their own. Flying roofs, dead battery syndrome, crank pully problem, sh!ttyazz runcrap tires, orange peel so bad in the paint, Tupperware interior with control ***** the size of a hubcap off of a '78 Buick. The thing shifts like a tire iron in a box of rocks. It sucks.
I went and researched your previous posts and everybody knows you're just a Vette fanboy. Thats cool. Go through life convinced that the Chevy Corvette is the worlds greatest car. We will just sit back and continue to laugh....not at you but along with you.
Your '03 Z06 interior is even cheesier looking than the C6 interior.
The exhaust comment was said "tongue in cheek"...obviously it does not sound like a Kia or Cavalier. But for godsake the crappy *** Mustang sounds
a ton better.
The Z51 suspension on the C6 is a great deal better than the base suspension. That is proven with many run times on a road course not just the 'Ring. On top of that, why do you think all the guys on CF.com get into pissing contests with each other over it?
A 40K with a far better interior and with performance mods that still keep the price around $45K is the one you are on...the G35. I'd take a G35 over a Vette any day of the week.
My CaymanS has been tracked at Summit Point Raceway which is about an hour from me. No, I don't have a lot of track time and didn't track the C6 at all but I live in the country and there are plenty of places 2 miles from my house to run them. The CaymanS just sticks to the road and is far superior to the Vette (to me) in the handling. Yes, I have flogged both of them. 158 so far in the CaymanS. I had the Vette at 147.
And FWIW.....the tea didn't call the kettle black, the pot did.
Here are even more pics of the C6 that I "never owned"......sitting in my "random driveway" and a "random" pic of the speedometer. Yes, thats how many miles were on it when I sold it...less than 6,000. That should tell you something. If you cant tell that these were taken in the same driveway then you need serious help. Well.....nevermind. You need to get a life man.

I'm not talking about crashing bud, I'm talking about abiilty. If you are slow, chances are you arent pushing your car much harder than the average bear on the highway.
What I am talking about is the things amerlemans listed which is things that overheat and can cause your car to go into limp mode or your brakes failing (which happened to me) and I can garauntee you that had nothing to with driver ability, even the pros have problematic cars IN EVERY KIND OF RACING. It's a fact of life on the track, when you push the car, things break, some less than others but it happens and even more so when you are pushing street cars at race car speeds.

Most people lift and coast down the hill but you can gain a lot by staying on it, but only if you have sufficient brakes to stop when you get to 10a or your in the dirt, brake failure here is BAD. But IMO taking any type of turn at 150+ is a hairy situation.
You can't fix stupid... I'm done with this thread... I'll be in Spotsy Co. and easy to access for anyone who wants to put up, or shut up.

I did bash car the car pretty good after owning a regular C6Z51 which I had a couple of issues with. It was pure ignorance on my part, I'll admit. Then I did a ton of research on the car and actually drove a couple Z06's and had a completely different view on the car as it is nothing like the base C6.
The car is not perfect by any stretch and is not in the same league from a fit/finish standpoint as today's (997) Porsches. It is the funnest (???) car I have ever driven though and that is why I own one today. I am no Vette fanboy either. Hell, as much as I am in and out of cars I could never be a fanboy of any type
.Thanks for the congrats.

Like I mentioned earlier (and reposted below) it was pure ignorance on my end.....which is exactly what most of you are spouting about here because 90% of you have never set foot in one.
