hit 1.2 boost should i be scared?? temp was 81 gag was 100oct. kevins k16s europipe, scargo headers (lg tubes)giac, evo air box ,sharkwerks plumbing to turbos , evo hoses and ics. well not sharkwerks evo stuff got it from alex... is this to much boost for stock interenals???

got em from alex at sharkwerks along with the plumbing .. the larger air intake to the turbos really made a difference

 

Do you have a Program? or did I miss that? K16/24s or K24s and the corresponding flash should be good for 1.2 BAR. I get a split second 1.3 BAR display in gears 3+ for a split second while the Wastegates do their thing... then 1.2BAR all the way to redline.

Steve, I don't think you will have an issue stressing the internals too bad with K16's, assuming Kevin's K16's are making < 600 WHP. Have you discussed with Kevin if 1.2 bar is within the efficiency island (I heard Todd K use this phrase ) of his turbos. I'm guessing it is.

 

They obviously are making less that 600 wheel horspower (700 crank) with a K16 based
turbo, they in no way could flow that much air thru such a small turbo.
You are probably just at the end of the efficiency island (Kevin could tell you), the good news is you use 100 octane. I bet you are pulling strong
above 1.0 bar. Very Nice set-up !!!

Do you fill the car crispier, sharp and more boost responsive with the IC?

 

1.2 is perfect. Does the car feel like it's pulling timing?

 

Same here, I see 1.3 BAR for a little longer but nothing less than 1.2 BAR with my foot all the way in it.

 

I thought you have a GT700... no?

 

thanks guys feel safer now 1.3 was a little scay , car seems to pull hard but i must admit i always feel the need for more hp.. poss it the 81 degrees thanks steve
