I drain mine by disconnecting one of the two fuel lines coming from my pumps to the very bottom of the tank (you have to remove the plastic skidpan...four plastic nuts and 6 clips...to get to them). I disconnect my lines at the fittings to the gas tank.
I would imagine a car with a stock fuel system would still have at least one fuel line in the same place that you could easily disconnect as well.
