Is this normal?
I just received my car back yesterday from the dealership. I took it over to take a check engine light on off. THis was due the batery was low because I had the car storaged for 3 months while I was over in Asia. Also I asked them to do a courtasy check on my baby because its warranty is ending at the end of this month. They said the car is in good condition.
This is my first porsche and I've only driving it for 400 miles. Today I went on a long drive, hit the gas here and there to feel the power and speed of it. This was all done while the car was in normal operating temperture. In my drive I pulled the car from 1st, 2nd and took it out of gear to slow down.
When I parked it, it was reving the engine around 1500 rpm. When I hit the gas it goas back beneath 1000 and then back to 1500 rpm. First time I'm experiencing this on it. Is it normal? Temp on the car was still normal.
Thank you,
Ricardo

Out of curiosity...did you get the actual codes that the dealer cleared? Throttle body cleaned?
Hey I found this...not sure if it is appropriate for DME 7.8:
DME Control Module
After disconnection of the power supply, the idle speed might change or fluctuate briefly until the idle speed positioner (M 5.2) or the throttle adjusting unit (ME 7.2) is readapted. The mixture adaptation is also lost.
Remedy:
After the battery is connected:
With the DME ME 7.2, it is necessary to carry out a learning and adaptation routine as described below:
- Switch the ignition on for 1 minute without starting the engine. Do not actuate
accelerator pedal.
- Switch off ignition for at least 10 seconds.
This completes the adaptation of the throttle adjusting unit.
With all DME Systems, the engine must run for several minutes before the engine control module can relearn the idle speed and mixture adaptation values.

I'll drive it back tomorrow, if it does show me that again, guess I'll just let them do a whole service on it. Just to be on the safe side and ofcourse tell them about this thing.

Dave now that you mention about stereo, I do have amps installed in the car with 2 jbl subs, and last night i was looking in it and didn't see a cap so, this might explain that the batery got drained cause I have a bad cable or so. hmmmmm
Just went to check the car for a sec. Did started normal and idled normal correct me if i'm wrong. When I put the key in ad turn it before i start it, my batery power is almoston the 12v stripe, and when I start it it goes up over it. Normal?
