Okay manuals humor us tips.
And to all tip owners.
What is your suggestion shifting tiptronics to get the best 0-60 results or 1/4mile results?
i.e. at what rpm do you shift each gear, do you floor it on each gear, etc.,

Just wondering.

Manually shift into first, powerbrake and let her rip. As soon as you are moving, shift into the auto mode and let the tip do the shifting...it will shift at redline as long as you keep it floored.

My best time on my 99 tip with numerous mods and a slight (5%) downhill grade.

you dont have to switch it in auto mode...as long as you keep it floored in manual it switches for you at redline

I don't see why not...look at the turbo tips....they do it all the time
The limiting factor is the TC stall speed...I'm not sure what the 996's have..
Just hold the brakes down as hard as you can.....start applying throttle till the car starts to move forward a little...that'll be the max rpm you can hold it to....release the brakes and off you go...
The rpm you can do that can be raised with a higher stall TC but I'm not sure anyone has come up with one....EVOMS has one for the 996 turbo's but I'm not sure if they fit on a regular 996
