Has this ever happen to ANYONE ???
I was driving with the top down on the turnpike and got caught in the rain. I pulled under a over-pass AND in a puddle and then put the top up. Then proceeded from 0 to 60 in a flash in order to blend into traffic. Within seconds the car starting to shake at all speeds, it felt like a flat tire. I did not smell any rubber and the car handled fine with the exception of the sound and shaking.
I made it to the turnpike service area and I pulled in and there were 3 guys from the service area standing there. I stopped adjacent to them and then once I opened my door, one of them stated HOW did you get your car to do that??? I asked what do you mean. He stated that when I stopped there was atleast 2 gal.s of water that came out of the wheel area. I walked around the car and checked the tire presure in each wheel. No Flat - ya !!!
I got back in the machine and the car drove fine.
I guess the water got trapped within the wheel and stayed until I was driving slow enough for the water to make its way out.

I've had that but with snow. You start thinking somethings terribly wrong when the fix couldn't be any easier. That's a "whew" check.
"Whoa, how'd you do that?" Ah, thats just my N2O reserve.
