Pics - Dectane 997 Styled LED tail lights installed in my MK2 996

Hi all,

Just following on from the thread created by trenddy996. (https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...il-lights.html)

My tail lights have finally arrived and I fitted them on the weekend. I went with the Red Crystal & Clear combination...there are also various smoke coloured variants.

All in all I would say that the finish and quality is at least as good as the standard 996 tail lights. Whether they are better or worse than original is your choice, but I am just saying the quality and feel looks great.

In my opinion they give the rear of the car a bit of a fresher look. I feel that the standard lights are one of the only aspects of the 996 that looks dated, so overall I am happy with them.

Love them or hate them, I have made this thread just so that you can see what they look like on an actual car - because the ones in the various sale listings on the net look photoshopped.

These pics were just taken with my iPhone - I will get around to uploading some hi-res pics when I have a bit of time this week...and will clean the car too

I am happy. They really look great illuminated and especially at night whether they are on, or off while the car is parked. Looks much fresher. LED indicators look great as well.

My 2 cents - buy them.

Enjoy

Thanks!

I got them from this link: http://www.pitlane.bg/dectane-led-ta...stal-p45996-en

At the time, this was the cheapest place I could find on the net that looked reputable. I could also select the currency I wanted the transaction to be done in which was a plus. The guys there are great communicators and the only downside was that based on their location, they had to ship the lights to Germany first, where they were then forwarded to me in Australia. This may apply to other regions. It took 4 weeks for them to arrive....but I was away for most of that time so it didnt worry me too much.

Howdy - yes I am pretty sure that they are for any year 996 narrow body. You'd be able to find out from the supplier pretty easily to confirm before you placed your order (probably says year compatibility in the description)

Looks great..i'd also like to see this on a C4s due to the darker strip that runs accross might not match very well in terms of tint/smoke and color of red portions..

I honestly can't decide which ones I like better, the Dectanes or the other LED tails. I would imagine the Dectanes are better made and probably more plug and play than the others. I'd love to hear from someone who's had both.
