and here's the before. unfortunately the dyno operator couldn't export the raw files so i can't overlay the first one with the before. these are just screen shots.

found some shots on the headers installed on my camera phone. figured i would post them up before i deleted them. the fit was great with these things. i forgot to mention before that the suncoast headers include new gaskets. this is a good thing as the stock gaskets were pretty well crushed and i don't think i would have wanted to reuse them.

so far so good with the new headers. i'm still very happy with them.

DOG: Your water line should have been fed from ABOVE the tranny. None of the lines should cross below the tranny or engine.

i agree. i already talked about with my installer this morning. it's going back in this week for some suspension work. i'm going to have them reroute this hose.

carlos: does your go under the engine and tranny?

1999: can it be fed above the tranny without removing the tranny?

Dgray: Your welcome

Yes. Feed in from the passenger's side of the engine towards the front and then cross over to the driver's side above the bellhousing and then down.

it's the water pump for the water-air intercooler

I can't understand for the life of me with all the places for them to put it why there? I would think right off the intercooler or up near the raditator in the trunk area of the car for easy access.

it's not a bad place at all. there's tons of space there and that's where the water lines are routed to the front of the car for the radiator/intercooler. putting it into the engine bay would make it even more cramped than it already is.

I was under the impression that it was mounted up front. Is the installation up to the technician or is it what is recommended by EVO?

where would you mount it up front? i suppose it doesn't really matter.

3 of us on this board has it in the same place, by the tranny.

Like you say it wouldn't matter where it is but, just seemed to me that ddog's pump is not mounted to anything permanent just floating around in there and exposing the wiring and pump to FOD ( Foreign Object Damage Debris ). I also like the idea that if something feels out of whack (loss of HP) I would be able to just feel the pump for proper operation without jacking the car up. The area where the SC front radiator is seems to be a good place with many possiblities for mounting the pump to something permanent and a close jump for the wiring to nearest relay while offering better protection. Just my 2 cents.
