C4S/Turbo Tire Sizes for 19" Wheels

Did a search and I'm not finding anything current on this topic. I am currently running 235/35/19 front and 315/25/19 rear on 19x8.5 front and 19x11.5 rears wheels on a 2002 C4S. Need a new set of tires and I am having a hard time finding tires in these sizes. Anyone on here running different tires size combos on wide body 996 awd that is safe for the differentials? Looking for suggestions or I'll be going back to the factory 18s.

The only tire option right now in 19" is Toyo Proxes T1r or Nitto Invo

Yes, these are the only 2 options I've found in these sizes. Toyo Proxes also is discontinuing the tire in these sizes. I was wondering if anyone was running anything different on 19inch wheels. I've seen some say they put a 305/30/19 in the rear but is it safe to have a larger diameter on the rear? I get that this would make it taller in the rear (25.2" vs 26.2") and is this safe for the differentials?

The number that I always see thrown around is that you shouldn’t have a difference of greater than 3% between the front and rear wheel/tire diameters. I have no idea if this information is correct or not, but it’s the most common advice given on the forums. If you believe that advice, then 25.2 and 26.2 wouldn’t be recommended.

I am also thinking of going the 19” route with my 03 C4S. I’ve read about the 3% rule many times. With using the calculator app I have, I have been thinking of going with
245/35/19’s and 305/30/19’s.
These calculate out to be a 1.8% difference.
Anybody have any experience with these sizes?

Jim

Rear size is fine, but 245/35 tires won't fit in the front unless you wanna ruin your fender liners from rubbing, ask me how i know, lol. At least not without going with a wheel that has a bit more offset. Even though it sounds like a minuscule difference, 235/35's will work just fine and are within that 3% ratio front to back at 2.78%. That's what I've been running for some time with no issue. Hope that helps.

Hey! Thanks for that info. If I may ask, are you on stock wheels?

No sir, the car was purchased with Carrera Classics, but they were NB fitment and I didn't wanna keep it on spacers (just a personal preference). So i ditched those for wheels in the following spec: F: 19x8.5 et. 45 | R:19x11 et. 52 and et.40
