durametric scanner data and tuning

Getting ready to pull trigger with FVD on my tuning so, does anyone know if the durametric scanner can data log realtime manifold pressure, Timing and A/F ratios for a 2000, 996 then pass this data to FVD for map tune? Yes, you guessed it I want to tune as close as I can get without a dyno just using real logged data. Feedback and flaming welcome.

Thanks

Did FVD ask for this information (assuming they can do a more accurate software mapping)?? Cuz it looks like on their site that they just wanted to know what upgrades you had? ie (headers, CAI, exhaust etc).

I have the durametric software and will try it out tonite and let you know around what data can be captured.

Great if you could. I will be getting the durametric along with a custom tune for my supercharger setup and exhaust. My impression is that it aids them in remapping from my home, I think most of the time the data they need is gathered during your dyno run and sent to them if they need it. If you are adding a standard addition headers, exhaust etc. I imagine they have a map the fits right off the bat through previous experience.

Will do Redridge, I will start a new thread for future Gearheads. I finally have 95% (missing b-pillars and set belts and stereo) of the interior back in the car. I had my wife sit in it and thought she would say how nice it was but, instead all that came out of her mouth was when can we drive it. LOL

I could be wrong but I don't think the durametric will be able to get you the info you're looking for. I am pretty sure you can read it on the turbos, but not on the NA cars.

You could be right, as far as the A/F ratio I think it does pick up Stoch mixture like a neg reading means rich and positive reading means lean condition. With these readings I can be alittle more accurate from home. Manifold pressures not sure what it picks up and same with timing. Have to admit I wish I had your capabilites on your data logging. Nice DDog

FVD advertises there SC's kits just not sure which type Roots or centrifical, so some parameters should be close out of the box for mine. Roots style uses one injector for extra fuel and I have six of newer size.

Good call on the larger injectors as opposed to the 7th injector.
