To elimnate fuel as the cause, remove a vacuum line from near rhe throttlebody and spray some starter fluid in it. If you get a sputter, then suspect a fueling problem. You might also reset the computer by disconnecting the batery to see if this corrects any fault.

Update....sprayed brake cleaner into the throttle body..car started then died...ugh...so i suspect its a fueling issue, fuel pump, regulator, etc...so they will check it at the indy....its on its way there now.

Talked to our tech over here. Sayes what usually happens is the fuel gauge breaks and you run out without knowing. Sounds silly but it may be worth it to add a couple of gallons of gas. Sorry but thats all I got : (

Owner Mark & wifey are terrific people to work on your car. I live in Central O.C but don't mind driving 20+ miles to Hergesheimers for maintenance.

Be careful not to chat with Mark about speeding on the road. He's a O.C Sheriff.

Great guys, really know the cars and they look out for you....I have a cracked lip spoiler and they thought the tow truck driver did the damage, they took pics, emailed them to me and documented the whole deal "just in case" it was the tow truck drivers fault....just talked to them about fuel gauge calibration after the repair was done...very thorough in their repairs...

They are located is Lake Forrest. I had them do a PPI on a Pcar I bought in OC and they are great folks to work with. I wish they were closer to San Diego as I would use them regularly.
