Recommendations from the experts please...

what's up everyone?!

Got a black on black 997tt being delivered this month. We plan on building it as a 360 Forged race / street car for magazine ads, web, etc...

I need your recommendations on some planned parts:

Air Intake - something reasonably priced, not these price gouged intakes like the Werks one...

Suspension - something good for the street and track
ECU flash???
The exhaust I've got already from RSC Tuning

Any other recommendations would be greatly appreciated - looking for a reliable street / track car capable of 11 second passes, and reliable track sessions.

Thanks in advance!
Jordan

The effectiveness of the air intake is still in question for lightly modded cars is my understanding. Just a BMC air filter should do. An IPD Intake Plenum is a must. Maybe some EVO headers.

So does this mean the car is going to be raced? Or the car is for showing in magazines, web, photos, etc?

For intakes...if it is just for show...GMG Racing has a carbon fiber replacement airbox that looks fantastic...not really anything for HP...in fact...I'm not sure if anything other than a filter change is necessary for the intake.

Thanks guys, the car will be raced at Sebring, Homestead, and Moroso - possibly VIR. Also raced at Moroso drag strip on some events. Also shown at several car shows across the country.

How much of a horsepower increase can I expect from an ECU flash / exhaust + headers??? What type of 1/4 mile times can i expect? The car is a 6 speed.

If its going to be seriously raced, do a set of Moton Club Sport dampers with a good set of sways, control arms, dog bones, and toe links. With this have it well corner balanced and aligned and you should be more then set. If it's going to be raced less competitively do a set of Bilstien Damptronics with the aforementioned items. Also consider lightening the car a bit.

With a GIAC flash and exhaust you'll be pushing about 600 bhp, which IMO is more then enough for the track. You should see quarter mile times in the mid to high 11's (i think).

Well use our intake.. Your car wont loose any power and it sure looks good.
Ask Hersch....

Suspension, you should try our WC Sport lowering springs and sway bars.
These are not rebranded Eibach like most other tuners use.
Ours are specifically built to our specifications and they work with the stock PASM dampers.

Since you have the exhaust from RSC you are set.

GIAC software to round out the package.

Let me know I will hook you up with some great pricing.

Here are some pics of the product and some cars we have done:

And when you need it to go fast around a road course call us we can help with that too

We have a great fuse that goes between the pedals and the steering wheel

Thank You guys for the input! Fabryce, thank you - Hersh is hooking me up with a few things for the car - do you do the ECU tune or do you send it out? How does that work???

Would the car benifit alot from an intercooler / piping upgrade and larger turbos???

We do the ECU's in house - send it in and it goes back to you same day.

The car would be benefit from larger IC's under extreme conditions. For the stock turbos on the car the stock IC's are fine.

Let me know.
