Are many(not all) pickup truck and Suv drivers simply non Porsche friendly- and why ?

I decided to take the Turbo on a brief errand today and I usually don't drive it unless its a pleasure drive but I really wanted to hear the engine start up.

So there I am in city traffic and it's 5 30 PM . One of the local offices must have had staff staying late because flying out of a parking lot comes a Dodge Durango . I had to hit my brakes as he/she/it cut me off . As if that was bad enough the driver then decides to hit the brakes on the SUV and pull an illegal U turn . If there ever was someone who deserved a ticket this would be it . Since this is an office my guess is that the person does this often .

Ok so it wasn't a type 1.2, or 3 driver but it was an arrogant SUV driver . Of course I looked in my rear view when I hit the brakes . An Acura was behind me and he had to slam the brakes but when the U turn came up even he shook his head in amazement at the Durango driver.

The biggest culprits are these SUV's and Pickup trucks .

In short -if their ego has them flooring the SUV or truck alongside a dude I can only imagine what goes through their minds when a woman zips by .[/QUOTE]

I would really floor them if I told them I paid cash with my own hard earned $$! Girl Power!!!

I saw all three types on my recent holiday at Surfers Paradise Australia.
I thought New Zealand drivers were bad but the Aussies took the cake.
I lost count of the disgraceful displays of driving i saw over there.

Happens all the time here in Houston too. Especially with Flowmaster equipped pickup trucks with the "cowboy cut" slashed and angled exhaust tips. Annoying.

most annoying reactions to the tt come from vette, jeep srt, and sometimes dbags in RR sport (btw 2nd worst in quality worldwide after the RR!). i find most street punks don't dare step up to a slammed tt. i rarely race them. nothing more to prove, obviously

Perhaps the hardest part for those individuals to see is that NOT every moment a 997tt driver is in full blast mode . There are times that slow driving is relaxing , safer ,and reduces the risk of ticket or collision.

I have a hard time understanding why a huge pickup truck would blast off full throttle into traffic . Not only is the vehicle ill prepared to handle that type of driving but it places the safety of everyone (including himself) at risk . A big truck doesn't just hit something ... it creams it .

Oh yeah, I'm not talking about reckless driving (especially in 2.5 tons of truck), I'm just talking about other (lesser) cars that may egg you on. Although continuously trying to get someone to race is just stupid, they just look like an ***.

I never do that though, the only thing I'm doing when I see any Porsche or other nice car is staring. That gets me in trouble sometimes too though.
