OK, so let's see if I get this right:
The P-Cars that had the Mezger engine were GT1, all GT3's (996 & 997 including RS), all GT2's (996 & 997 including RS) and all Turbos up to and including 997.1 Turbo? And, aside the GT1, then in years one could get a Mezger engine from 1999 up to 2009 (for Turbo) and 2014 for GT3. Is all this correct?

Today easily to differentiate: 3.6 Liter = Mezger, 3.8/3.4 (2.7) Liter = Porsche Standard Engine. (4.0L in the GT3 4.0 was an exception).
Also only the Mezger Engine has the "Trockensumpf schmierung".
There were rumors that the 991 GT3 CUP has also an Mezger, this was a rumor.
Btw: Hans Megzer is now 85 year old. His engine ("the" engine of all streetcars ) is in fact a 964 based block, adapted afterwords with water cooling and 4V head.
The 964 block and the 901(911) block are very similar anyway :-) And of course, Hans Mezger build also this early 911 engines.

All Mezger Engines are retiered, same as Hans Mezger since years. 997.1TT was the last Mezger, 997.2TT not. 997 GT2 RS was the last GT, maybe the last GT2 for a long time or forever. 997.2 GT3 also no Mezger.

Ok, I have had pretty clear that 997.1 Turbo (2007 to 2009) was the last one with a Mezger engine. I thought that I had all the GT's clear, but apparently not. Can anyone else help please ?

2014 GT3, aka 991 GT3, does NOT use Mezger engine. It is the first ever GT3 not to use Mezger.
As for 2014 or 2015 GT2, not clear but IMHO it's very likely, especially if rumor of PDK GT2 is true, then it would not be a Mezger engine either.

Like Champion has said and done, 560whp is all she will take, then the tranny is the weak link. Nobody knows what the engine will take yet, heck everyone was in an engine building frenzy with the 996tt and the 997tt years ago when it was believed that you could only take the metzger engine to 600hp or the rods will come out...
550whp with the PDK is pretty fast, not 9 second 1/4 fast but it will suffice for 75% of the people out there.

So, from my original post (above) all is correct except that in years, the Mezger engine was used up until 2013 with the last GT3.

Sorry I was not correct. The new 991 GT3 CUP is still using a Mezger Engine, based on the 997 GT3 RS
(and maybe does not burn)

Porsche has serious problems with his 991 GT3 (non CUP). A lot of 991 GT3 burned up.
991 GT3 (non Mezger) new car delivery is currently stopped.
Some drivers says, suddendly low oil pressure and than ... See below (borken "Pleuels") "Hans, pls come back and fix this"

Maybe, Porsche do not like to say we use a very old engine (Mezger) in a 991 GT3 Cup / 991 GT3 RSR, sometimes this is a misunderstanding.
Even more, Porsche added a new automatic gearbox (sequential) on this old block.

As Chris Harris discussed with Porsche R&D boss Wolfgang Hatz, the 991 RSR will use a 3.8-litre version 'old' Mezger flat-six and though Porsche doesn't say as much in the press release a spokesman told us the Cup car will retain a version of this engine too.
