Boost Recirculation Valves

I ordered a set of Agency Power BRV's from Vivid tuesday and I plan to install them this weekend. Besides having to put them together before install, is there anything special I need to do while im installing them on the turbos?
This is my first turbo car and I want to do everything correct the first time around.

Make sure you you follow the assembly instruction correctly else they will leak.

just installed them a few days ago, pretty easy to do, do a search with BRV in the title and you will see a thread by Dan from vivid explaining how to put the valves together. Then its really just a matter of taking out the old ones and putting in the new ones. about 15 min for passenger side, about 30 min for driver side due to location being a bit of a pain to reach and also removal of driver rear wheel

David - the stock BRV's can leak/tear if you are running higher HPs. I replaced them on my Cayenne Turbo and 997TT.

Believe it or not I was a bit skeptical at first. I have a softronic tune and full fabspeed exhaust. The car hauls a$$ and when your in 2nd at 4k it just slingshots.

After installing the brv's I noticed that slingshot feeling disappeared which got me a bit worried. I decided to give it a few days to get used to it and if I didnt like it, it was an easy change to go back to the stock brv's.

The other thing I noticed, is that between shifts, the car held the boost so that when I upshifted I was already on the gas and moving, it gave it the feeling as if I never let off the gas when shifting (if that is clearer).

All in all, I am quite happy with this little mod and would recommend it to others.

I dont understand. it sounds like you are saying that it reduced how hard your turbos hit. yet, you're happy with it?

it gave it a more linear feel and also the biggest benefit from my perspective was the boost staying up during shifts.

I am by no means an expert. But, what you describe to me sounds like a leaky valve.
