Thank God For Warranties!
Even though I'm past my 3 year 36 thousand, I have and additional 5 year 100,000k on the motor and drivetrain with a mere $100 deductible!
Last Friday this Behemoth Beast went into limp mode and the engine light came on. I pulled out my OBDII Reader and two codes appeared, both being P0088, Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High.
If the measured rail pressure exceeds the commanded rail pressure by 250 bar for 1.4 sec or if the measured rail pressure exceeds 2150 bar for 0.3 sec. So off to the Dealership it went. I Stopped by earlier today to check on the progress and this is what I saw:
I can't get over how big this motor really is. Also I can't understand why FORD would design a vehicle that requires cab removal to work on the engine.
Speaking with the Tech's, they had indicated that a solenoid had gone bad within the High Pressure Fuel Pump. Thus resulting in this debacle. Much like the Coolant fittings on the 996/997's, a boat load of work to fix a $100 part.
Got love Engineers!

Let's see how many squeaks and rattles it has when they put the cab back on.
You may not remember the Chevy Monza GT (V8) of the early 80's but you had to pull the motor to change the rear 2 plugs. GM took a rash of **** for that. Plus it was a real trash bucket.

Spent a little time with those other F cars today at Infineon:
Relatively uneventful, but we got to see Rubens Barrichello's 03 backup car do some hot laps. That was pretty amazing!

Hey Bonehead,
I remember a while back you had questioned how to get Michelin CUP's with the "cool colored" Michelin Branding Graphics. I mentioned they were a type of transfer. Below is the Pirelli version for reference. They had custom ones made for both the 599XX and the 458's.

Yeah, I contacted Michelin a while back. This was their response
"The sticker on the tire in the photo is available for racing only. We're sorry but we do not have those available."

Hit my local car wash this morning and there was quite a nice showing... almost better than Santana Row!
^^^ I thought this GT2 (?) wing looked nice on this Carrera S
^^^ This Murdered out 300 looked pretty sweet with its extra little LED running lights.
^^^ And what car wash scene isn't complete without at least one Monster Truck! This is Big-D's Machine. He has a slammed Escalade as well with the largest diameter rims I think I have ever seen with rubber bands for tires... crazy...I swear the sidewalls are less than one inch!!! I have no idea how you could even mount the rubber.
^^^ Final touches on my beast, and then a quick stop at SR before heading back home.
Not too bad of Saturday morning.
Cheers & Enjoy your Weekend,

Late night random BS (ref: American Idol):
So here's the DEAL...
POST 134 Music Picks (03.29.2012): "Okay, here's the deal... Phil Phillips is a real Artist....he is no American Idol...he is, "THE REAL DEAL".
05.10.2012
Okay, so I like music and can truly appreciate raw talent. Phil completely laid down the gauntlet tonight. I have never heard the song he sang tonight for his second solo performance...but I can tell you this, I would buy the "album" and everyone else in the room with me would have as well.

Okay, one more posting:
I though this was a great over head moment caught by the camera crew within seconds of MSC A$$ packing Bruno Senna
IPhone + Living Room + F1 at Circuit de Catalunya =
