What is everyone running. I am most familiar with GoPro but the camera is so big compared to other cameras I see listed on Sports vue.

I am looking for a double duty camera:

Motorsport Rallys, Skiing, boating and mountian biking. Ideal features for me would be:

1. LCD screen to check set up and capture. also allow me to view away from computer

2. Remote on/off

3. Motion Sensor auto record

4. Not a deal breaker but waterproof would be a plus although I already have a waterproof camea.

5.Good assortment of mounts including a suction cup.

6. Ability to mix video with still on a timed interval

7. Ability to get to 1080P

I am designing my own. I mfg military optical devices, have looked at what the market offers and have decided to design my own. However, the race optics unit provides characteristics suitable for most users.

I believe they now are available with 1080p.

 

In that case what do you think of the features on my list? I forgot to add both batter and direct cig battery. Operation. Let me know when you have one for sale. Also I prefer the cigar style to the boxy gopro

 

Nice camera but the wire would be a negative for outside mounting.

 

Would definitely be a box look but would also mount inside with a filter to cut through the coatings on the windshield or rear window. The options would far exceed those you have mentioned but really havent found the time to sit down and locate the components required. Further, I dont want to mention the characteristics yet as one with a good knowledge of optics could replicate my ideas.
