You combine pcm serial number with your cars vin.
You cant ask porsche as our cars are 997.1 so they cant sell you codes for old vins...

So simple

Okay,

I need a little bit more information that i could ask my software friend.
I think the only possibility to get the right numbers is to follow the complete process of a 997.2 car.

Regards

I've read all 11 pages of this - what is the synopsis? Some of the English is a little rough, but it sounds like you can buy a PCM3 and install it in a 2007-2008 911 Turbo?

What I wasn't clear on was whether the gateway module was needed, and what the other requirements are. I'd like to do this with my '08.

Does anyone have a summary of what needs to be purchased and/or what wiring needs to be done? I'm pretty handy with this stuff and could do the work myself.

3. pcm 3.0 itself. if buy used - watch it better - can be broken or not working one - I had bad experience.
4. if your car have BOSE - new BOSE amp. if not - you also need an amp to install, porsche one called ASK, or aftermarket one, but amp needed 100% or you will burn loudspeaker outputs on a pcm.
5."quadlock" connector for PCM and different pins for it, even for optic cable.
6. also you will need ring terminators for optic - all "old" devices such as cd-changer or phone module will not work anymore. if you have tv-tuner - it also need to be new.

after you have all parts together - don't get scared, install them.

after installation it need to be coded for your car.
dealers will not sell codes to you, but don't cry - codes can be obtained without them for almost any car, I can help you with.

in most common cases PCM3 wil work just right after installation without coding.
BUT.
options in that case can't be altered. and after awhile some options will dissappear such as navi maps, bluetooth etc.

I don't know why Aisxos do not write here, but he bought all suitable codes for his car month ago, and they do work.

Save your money and get this, I put mine in my center console. Its out of sight and works perfect? Just $49.00 and you get phone calls and music. The sound is not like your cd but very close and beats the pants of the Desion, Mobridge or any of those useless gadgets.

You are out of topic !
We talk about PCM 3 conversion to 997.1 older than 2009,not only for Bluetooth option.

Hi All,

Thanks for All your posts and help In this conversion. Just one question about the A/C controler located bellow The PCM itself.

PCM 2.0 A/C controler is ugly grey. How do it make it match with the black of the PCM 3.0 ?

Could You simply order a new part? Is that "plug and play" ? Do You know how much cost this new A/C black controler?

Many thanks for your help.
