Also if you buy a pcm buy one that is later than 2010... it has different software version... much better... dont buy a 2009 pcm..

Greetings gentlemen:

Excellent topic. Unfortunately, after reading all 13 pages it seems that we are still stuck. It also seems that the culprit is the code. Just thinking, shouldn't 1 code work for all cars(since the car's ECU) won't know that this code has been used for other cars before? Or is there a VIN# assigned to a particular PCM code number that need to match in order for everything to be synchronized? It seems to me that after all these parts being replaced, it shouldn't be that difficult. Thanks.

date of pcm actually no matter at all. software update that you did dated up 2013, you just can't buy pcm dated 2013 - only if new one.

So are you saying with this exact part it will be plug n play for the a/c controls, or will it still have the same issues you are having

Hi Serge,

just a quick question as iam looking for a 997 turbo with pcm 3, but there a not many available.

If i buy a 997tt cabrio from 07 or 08 i only need this:

http://www.ebay.de/itm/Porsche-PCM-3-0-Navigationssystem-/121209954276?pt=Technik_Auto_Hi_Fi_Navigation_Einb au_Navigationssysteme&hash=item1c38ad1fe4

and can buy a code from you and make a conversion to pcm3 or is it more?

It is important for me as the pcm2.1 for me is very ugly and i dont like the interior with it, whereelse the pcm fits perfectly to the car and has a bit of modern touch.

Interesting thread, I'm looking forward to a solution as I'd like to do this upgrade myself.
