3.8L Build Started
Wow congrats on your newly assembled 3.8! Now you can crank that boost up and really enjoy. Im sure your motor man knows to use break in oil (non-synthetic) for the first couple hundred miles. The hard part is not mashing on it right away! There is nothing more reassuring then having your motor properly built fellas.
Im on about 20k miles on my recently built motor and cant start to tell you the abuse I have been giving my car on the track lately with back to back hot laps of 160mph at Pocono Raceway on hot days and what not.
REALLY exciting stuff, exactly what these cars need. How they should be.

Wise words, and if there wasn't a border between here and the shop Dave is using then I would consider shipping the car. The local shop is doing part of the build on UrbanHotrod's car (one of the mods here), so it must be okay - I'm just waiting to hear his impressions once it's complete.

Thanks man. Getting close.
We just finished! Leave me alone! I don't want a divorce!
Motor peripherals assembled...

Final inspect

First start (video quality not great but turn up the volume!)
Break-in period is needed. I'm running on a 3.6 tune right now which was previously installed. Will refine tune when motor is ready. Initial impression is the car feels VERY STRONG. GT2 slave is better than stock for sure but the ATS triple disk is not as easy to modulate as single disk. Lightweight flywheel causes some chatter as expected but not overly so. The exhaust sound is PERFECT for my tastes. Not too loud, no drone, but totally free flowing. It's a beauty (and a beast). I can't thank House Automotive in Pasadena and Protomotive enough for their superb work! These guys are real pros. Top notch.

3.38 a gallon for Race gas!? YES PLEASE... Gotta love that corn/tortilla juice!
Your car made massive power on the stock motor if I believe. When are you getting the 60-130 or dyno numbers for the new 3.8 setup?
Enjoy your newly built beast
