Evom or Giac
Evom or Giac
I am not interested in any other tuning except Evom or Giac, so feedback on both would be greatly appreciated... Is the Evom as easy as the Giac to change back to stock tuning??? thanks
I had the GIAC on my 2008 Turbo and loved it. Very smooth. Not comparing apples to apples but I have the EVOM on my 2011 Cayenne Turbo. It is a piggy back system (somebody with more knowledge than me will have to explain) and does not seem as smooth. I drove a friends Cayenne Turbo with the GIAC and it definitely had a smoother delivery of power. Only reason I went with EVOM was the GIAC was not available at the time. Maybe that is why it is smoother. They took some extra time to fine tune it.
GIAC all the way. i'de never let anyone take the ecu out of my car.
champion exclusively uses GIAC. they obviously know their stuff.
curious as to why youre not looking at APR ? the ability to toggle from 93, to 100, to stock via the cruise control stalk is pretty awesome.

Not to mention we have many custom options for varying hardware setups.
GIAC for me too, very smooth power. I won't go with a piggy back system, do a search and you'll find piggy back alter some signal from the DME, but not as comprehensive as the chip like GIAC. My 2 cents.

Here are the wheel horsepower gains over stock we see on 91, 93 will be a bit higher:

As noted previously, we have different files for this platform based on a myriad of hardware combinations and real program switching.
I don't want to hijack the op's thread but I already talked to Mike @ AWE. I would really like to hear, in person, the exhaust for the GT2RS they did along with your tune. They, in conjunction with Sewickley Porsche, did my '08 Turbo.

AWE-Tuning isn't a far trek from you and they're very specialized with Porsche models. If you're looking to stay specifically in LI, Tuning Works is our dealer there.
He can head over to AWE-Tuning and have that done with us as well.
