TPC's DSC quick review...
Thanks Harris!
Haven't tried the stiffer DCS maps, however I was at the track last week with the suspension in PASM Sport mode and the car felt incredibly planted. Not sure about your application however with the tweak in algorithm Sport mode is a lock on the track.
Sure, using Harry's Laptimer, I shaved 2.5 seconds from my personal best last year (from mid-65 seconds to low-63 seconds). To be honest, it would be hard to attribute how much of that came from the TPC DSC update versus other variables;
2016 vs. 2017
- Michelin PS2 vs. Michelin PS4s (I'm switching to Michelin Sport Cup 2s)
- mostly dry and cold conditions vs. warm and dry both days
- stock alignment vs. TPC track alignment
- stock front & rear sway bars vs. TPC adjustable racing sway bars
- more familiarity with the track in 2017 vs. in 2016
So with all the above, it's hard to say that the software update was the sole reason for the improvement. That said, I definitely observed faster corner entry speeds and much better mid-corner stability from the prior year (again the TPC sway bars, and track alignment have something to do with that), but the car was definitely more composed this year. I try to be objective in my assessments and while TPC's software update was definitely a difference maker, I would say "all of the above" contributed to the improved lap times.

I think that suspension is always more about the "sum of the parts" working together as opposed the individual pieces and its really about creating a setup that helps you drive your car faster. nice improvement.

I agree 100% prodigy, you nailed it. The "sum of the parts" analogy best describes it...thanks. My goal is to crack a sub 1 minute lap at Lime Rock (it's hard to achieve with the trains/traffic and limited passing zones that are common at your average DE event but i'm still shooting for it)...LOL
Street Full throttle straight away in sport mode
So I was out driving my 997.1TT the other day pretty hard on a Coastal road. The surface was smooth so I put PASM into sport mode. I also have TPC's DSC installed. On a straight away I accelerated full throttle from 3rd to 4th. Well let's just say I didn't feel planted at all. The steering wheel almost shook my hands loose. Doesn't seem right to me, and I know the road well. The only thing I did different was activate the sport suspension. I was in sport mode the whole drive.

We use FedEx for all of our shipping. When doing any sort of ECU or DSC updates or repairs outside of the USA, it is considered "return and repair". That means that there is no duties cost on your end when it is shipped back to you.
In regards to the firmware update and just to have it out there in the public, there is no cost to update the firmware if you are the original owner of the DSC Sport module. Also, the owner is responsible for shipping costs. We have gotten a lot of questions on this, so I just wanted to add this to the thread.

can you PM me the instructions for shipping it back for the firmware update? thanks
