Appreciate any input.
You do not need the module for the non-multifunction wheel.

Is the horn gonna work without that module ? is that module only serve the purpose for the MF ? or it's somehow related to the horn ? Thanks.

It will all work with the new style wheel. The 991.2 not the old paddle style.

The only thing that will not work is the plug and play is MF. Suncoast sells blanks to eliminate the MF switches.

hi shadow,

I need to get a 991.2 pdk wheel to replace my 2007 997.1 tip wheel. How do I get in touch with you? Doesn’t appear I can send you a PM due to my low post counts?

I don't think Porsche makes a heated CF wheel.
I have a 997.1 manual. I do NOT have MF and do not care for MF. In this case, do i need the steering wheel and the new air bag from a 2016 or newer Macan? I could get the blank inserts from Suncoast along with the shroud part#: 95B419798B5Q0. Is there anything else that i need besides this? I understand he horn might not work until i have the dealer recode my current module to a MF. (From my understanding, this coding allows the power to the horn) If i want to install this wheel style:

Regards,

John

Correct! Any new style wheel and airbag works. The airbags are interchangeable.

You can also remove the paddles in 5m, and porsche sells a tee cover for manuals.

I highly doubt you will need programming for the horn.

Manual non multifunction is just a straight forward swap. Take a new style wheel with a new style air bag and install it and it will work plug and play. You can use any sterring wheel and remove paddles from it as mentioned earlier. If you get a good deal on a nice MF wheel, you can remove the buttons too.

I have a 2009 6MT 997.1. Turbo

My car did have MFC and i installed a 991.2 Carbon Wheel with Heating

After installing the Horn does work although the MFC nor the Heating work

can someone relay the part number i need from Porsche to enable Heating and MFC

I can verify i did have my dealer try to enable MFC and nothing happened,

thank you

I worked with Ryan at Vivid Racing to have an OE blank hand made to my specs, then it was a straight swap of steering wheels. Note how well they matched the leather color on the new sport grips with my OE airbag cover.
