Installed it, but from what I understand there should be 3 modes.. I still just have two when I push my shock button

No instructions were in the box..

 

That means you got the newest firmware, which has only 2 modes.

 

If you just received the DSC module then you will only see two modes. TPC updated their DSC software and changed the modes from 3 to 2 (I have a write-up pending). Hope this helps.

 

Sweet makes sense. As long as it solves my wheel hop issue I'm happy. Drives great around town!

 

The DSC should address the majority (if not all of your 'wheel hop' issues) if the cause is damping-related. It certainly drives great around town but shines on the track!

 

I just installed TPC's black box as well. Driving impressions are in line with most people on here, all good.

However, I do have one issue with the new version vs what I've read of the old 3 mode version. Specifically, why does it force PASM into sport mode when selecting Sport Plus? I've always preferred a more compliant setup and don't know why they would lock you out of PASM "normal" when selecting "Sport Plus". It seems intuitive that the programmers would retain all of the permutations possible with the hardware and software.

Perhaps there's a setting I'm missing, please enlighten me if so.

I have the 3 mode and think its perfection (sorry not trying to flame anyone)

why would they do this?

 

I switched from the 3 mode to the 2 mode. The primary reasons were to:
1. Get the updated maps
2. Get rid of the blinking lights on the PASM button

Have noticed no difference in performance between the 2 different versions. Both are great

Just to be clear though, DSC will update from the 3-mode to 2-mode for free (just the cost of shipping).
