Got this from my rep today ... I'm very happy with the dealer as well as the sales person ... They have never treated me wrong ... just wondering if anyone else has had problems with the painted rear seats and colored dials or is this their oversight???

Porsche order guide has these options and prices listed as available ... LEGEND can you chime in?

I was finally able to find your order in the Porsche computer.
As I mentioned before, we are at the mercy of what Porsche will built at this time. The painted seat backs, painted dials, carbon door sills, are not available, and may not be until after the first of next year. The floor mats are my oversight, and I will order them before the car arrives. I assume the Bose Sound system is standard on the Turbos, and we won't know about the self dimming mirrors until after the car arrives. I wanted to let you know as soon as possible, and not just wait until the car gets here. Sometimes it's not until late Spring of the next year before they make certian things available, if at all. This may not be the final price, as I noticed they haven't added freight yet.Please e-mail, or call me with any questions .

quick question... option 666 - Module for telephone PCM do you need 668 Handset for Telephone Module in order to use the phone?

 

I was wondering about the self-dimming mirrors too. I couldn't find it in the options list for the 997TT even though it's available for the 997C/S

 

Can't they check if the car will have self dimming mirrors until after the car arrives??!!!

No you don't need the handset. It's ugly and it's only a passive receiver that you pick up and talk on only.

 

is there a microphone? can you pick up the phone through a button in the steering wheel....

 

Option 666 is basically hands-free. You can add the passive receiver, option 668, if you want more privacy if you've got someone else in the car with you. It looks bad though so go to the Porsche configurator and see how it looks like.

 

Hey there, It appears to me that self dimming mirrors are standard as well as nav, and full leather. I believe you are right about certain options not being available in the launch car. ( tip not available) I hope we will get more info in a couple of weeks. I will keep you guys posted. When they inputted your specs to porsche the computer should have sent back an error or conflict code, saying the options are not available. You should speak to your sales person and get a printout of the allocation they submitted. Also what might have happened was they originally submitted one way and then when they went to change it to your specs they were to late. I had this problem on my launch edition.
