Do I need Damptronics?

After driving the C4S for 8 months, I feel that the suspension on the car is just not tight enough. (The car has PASM.) I use the suspension on "Sport" mode all the time, and I'm not totally convinced. I feel like the car is really loose.

I don't know, maybe it's just me?

I have them and the first mod I would do on any car in the future is CO's. Makes a huge improvement on the street and on the track. I would also suggest a set of Sway Bars at the same time.

Love that damptronics. Feels like a brand new car. Feels much more solid and control.

Thumbs up Concur - Damptronics is a worthy mod

Honestly, why the car doesn't come stock with them I do not know (cost?). Flexible ride height, corner balancing ability and off course the tighter handling equal a mod that makes a huge difference. I am not an "expert" by any means but even in day-to-day "spirited" driving the difference in ability to take corners quicker while feeling completely in control is remarkable.

Hmm. My PASM on sport is hard as a rock at slow speeds. Once over 70 it is much better than normal, which I find to "floaty" at speed. Has anyone ever mentioned how many miles they get out of the stock dampers?

Bilstein makes these and they work with PASM.

It's a Bilstein adjustable coil over set.
Here is a pic of one next to my Techart spring which was my first suspension (actually stock was first) on my Turbo. also posted are some pics taken during the installation at that time.

+1. The Damptronics are a remarkable improvement, even though I don't track the car. Firmer ride, but not harsh. Even in 'sport' setting. And yes, while the patient is open on the table, sway bars are a must-have.
But re the question about why Porsche doesn't include them (or equivalent) on stock cars, I think it's a lot more than simple oversight or higher expense. Rather, as a pretty sharp marketing organization, Porsche has a good sense of what their average customer wants. And most on this forum are not the average owner. For the majority of owners, I suspect they've found that the Bilstein's are too firm. And for those owners, their much less likely to be willing to modify their cars to make them 'softer'.
