Strange clutch problem

Yesterday was out and about in the PCar and while changing gears and letting the clutch back out it felt as is it hung up about half way from full engagement. Engine was still a little cold so I was not on the gas very hard. It hung up for only a few seconds but while it was "stuck in mid return" I was still on the gas so clutch was half engaged resulting in burned clutch smell. Has anyone ever experienced this in a modern Porsche ? I have not in over 10 years of PCar ownership between my Boxster and now the current C4S and was more than a little perplexed while this was going on. Drove it this morning and all appeared normal.

This happened to me before also, unfortunately, I can't explain this behavior either. The car still runs just fine to this day.

Car was an end year close out but only from new since I've owned it a tad more than 2 years ( Cars 3 years old counting the time it spent sitting on the lot ). I'm a little over due on a brake fluid change (due every 2 years). Could that be the issue ? Is Porshce fluid more porne to moisture absorbtion than regular DOT stuff ? Slave doen't need anything else in the way of regular service I am aware of and with only 14K miles seems an odd issue to have on a relatively new vehicle. But then it's an odd issue for me altogether.

My problem is simply the clutch hanging up about half way back. Clutch actually engages near the end of it's travel normally so the mid engagement hangup used up some of the clutch's life I'm affraid. While it's seems to engage later than when new could be my imagination. As of today all seems right with the clutch but will wait to see how you make out at the dealer before I take it in. Am hoping your visit will shed some light on my issue. As this was a one occurrence issue only I'm pretty sure it won't happen while anyone from the dealers service department is driving it.

Mine made a clicking sound half way down the travel. Did it for a couple days until whatever was sticking broke. Clutch worked fine. Took it to the dealer and some kind of plastic part broke. Needed a new clutch slave cylinder. About $500, covered under warranty. So much for bullet proof Porsches. You may have the same issue.
