trade in my TT for a C4S pdk?
Hey folks,
I am browsing around and I saw this 2010 White C4S PDK with full red interior ( my favor color combination
) F1 Steering wheel, All the options I want except no adaptive seats.
3.4 years warranty left with 3600 miles on it. My TT is an 07 water parallel exported from US with no warranty and 12500miles on it. My TT is absolutely amazing to drive. But deep inside my heart I always wanted a PDK. I am guessing I have to pay $50k USD to trade in the C4S.

95hp less
, PDK I always wanted
face lift, PCM, Warranty
95hp more
6speed ( stick is always a stick
much more potential on upgrades
, no warranty
Man, Should I just wait for 991? To get more new car feel Rather then paying 50k USD more and just for the PDK and less hp?

my opinion
I hope you have a lot of money because you keep changing cars when what you really want is a different transmission .
You didn't like the Tiptronic -- Understandable
The roads in your region are tough for a manual -- That's the dilema .
But what if you buy this next car only to see the complete redesign in 2012 ?
Conclusion -- Sell the Turbo .. and just wait for the new car . Then decide . You can always get a PDK car but if the third strike gets the wrong car again .. all you will be left with is the memory of a wasted expense .. instead of the right car.

Umm,
I bought the TT 4 months ago. I have it as a daily driver. I must say I am pretty paranoid during in traffic and lack of practicability because of two doors.
But I gotta say damn, it feels so nice on open roads.
Anyway, so I bought a 2010 C63 as a daily driver. It's got nice sound and good torque for a sedan.
Anyway, I don' think I have savings to trade in my TT for a PDK C4S. I would wait like yrralis1 stated, wait for the real car that I really want. I think the depreciate value is getting slower anyway. it's an 07 and it won't hurt that much if I sell it now or sell it half a year later. It's a keeper.
So I guess now it's time for me to get GT2 bucket seats! ( i have standard ) I am use to C63's bucket seats.

Keep the 07TT and wait for the 2012 991 if I were you. Traffic and road condition is terrible for manual cars driven in Taiwan. Just the thought of entering and exiting the various underground parking structures make me cringe. Not only will you scrape up your bumpers pretty bad, waiting in line at the exit line of various parking garages going up hill is a real test of your skills driving a manual transmission car.
If you really are looking to sell your TT please send me a message. I am located in Taipei and am looking to buy a 997 soon.

Wow europeancar!! To even entertain the thought of trading in a 997tt for a 997c4s....now thats a bombshell and a half
. I love the way you put that. If i didnt know you better i would have said you were serious. Now, c'mon stop teasing us guys
Put those darn seats in and get a tune, clutch etc and then tell us all about it eh. Till then no more joking around with these stories ok...even though they are funny

from practical perspective - if you do have C63 with auto transmission already I can hardly see a reason to get C4S with pdk unless you want to sell them all. but you cannot just live with 997 as only car, you will need a proper roomy sedan to haul things around anyway.
keep driving TT, you will get used to its manual in 4-5 months and stick will become your second nature.
