Has anyone successfully removed just the lens of the dome/map light to replace the bulbs w/LED's? If so any tips? Or is it easier/safer (less risk of breaking the lens) to just remove the entire overhead cluster to do this? Thanks!

I ordered new bulbs and they should be here soon so hopefully a different type of bulb will do the trick.

It really makes no sense at all to me. I know the wires and the housing work because my old bulb still works.
hello
i got the same probleme as you for passenger foot light
i spent more than 2 hours trying to find the problem but no clue
did you find a solution for this strange & stupid probleme?

The lens is all you have to remove. It is easy. I can't find it right now, but somewhere I found a DIY. It may include removing parts from the dome light cover, but again, this is easy to do without breaking anything. I should know, I usually do break something, but just not in this case.

PS-There's a very clear picture of the removed lens on page 4 of this thread!

Domer - thanks for this link. Since you've done this LED change where did you run into problems or is the swap as straight forward as it looks? Thanks.

Did you flip the bulb to change the polarity. I think he mentions that in the install video.

I used two screw drivers to help compress the spring clips in AND then I used my fingers to pry out the hole housing.
