door lock/unlock button

Is it just me or does any one else think the door lock/unlock button is in a odd place? I find myself not even using it. I just pull the door handle twice and get the same effect.

+1 I've never used it once, had to read the owner's manual to figure out where the central door lock was.

lol, I don't think my P-car has ever been in a bad neighborhood. If I need to go to a bad area, I take my incognitomobile. But, I get what you're saying though.

the location isn't intuitive to me either, but as a long time BMW owner, at least it's in a familiar place since BMW puts it in the same place.

i was amused by the 'bad neighborhood' comment. is that why it's right next to the hazard button?

My '06 C2S is new to me and I didn't know where the door lock button was either. Thanks to this thread, I looked it up in my owners manual and agree, the door lock is in an odd place. Then again, so is the ignition switch.

Yeah, it's a Euro thing.

Better than the Cayenne, where it is buried under the navi screen!

I've had this problem with both 997s and the Panamera. Every time I need to unlock the doors (to let someone in), it takes me a few seconds...I reach over and open the door...then remember that it's dead center on the upper console.

Nice reminder that I'm in my 40s...and some simple things don't come to mind as quickly as a few years ago.

Its needed to let someone in after you've moved the car and the doors autolocked (if you have it set up that way), or to lock them quick.
