Most of the posts on battery replacement say the group h7 is theerfect replacement for the 997, either the interstate or the everstart maxx. Is this battery for both 997.1 and 997.2? D both series 997's have the same battery?

Bought my replacement for my 997.2 at Walmart, had it in stock, fit perfect. less than $100.

 

Hey brian was it an everstart maxx h7 from walmart? Tis is one of the regular recommendations for the 997.1

 

Battery was very dead Saturday. Knew I would need a new one, but didn't have time to look around not to mention install. I had faults to get cleared too, but 200 from the dealer is just a rip!! They did check the charging system to make sure that wasn't the cause for the dead battery.....it's unfortunate that some businesses are greedy.

 

Had the same issue, my factory battery died first year, dealership said you did not drive it enough and it wad not covered under warranty, so FU dealer, installed Walmart battery, fit perfect, they had it in stock, and was less the $100. Pictures attached.

 

Would never think Walmart would stock that battery. I really hate shopping there, but it's well worth it for the money saved. I was in a pinch and needed the battery that day due to a day trip I was going on......lesson learned.
