In your owner's manual -
When the engine is cold and the car is level the fluid level must lie between the “MIN” and “MAX” markings.

Thanks, but the question was relating to a hot engine.

Since coolant expands when hot, I'd say if you take a measurement while cold you would find the level would be well below Min.

Well I've asked my local garage who did a coolant flush a few weeks ago about it (left a msg)... the car isn't overheating though I hope it has enough coolant. I thought maybe the level drops when the engines hot, as it has to circulate around more?...will advise what my garage tells me.

At that level (cold), just add distilled water. Of course, if you have the $ to spend, add the 'special' Porsche coolant blend.

Yep it was 250ml too low, topped up with demineralized water, will add the same amount of coolant tomorrow when I pick up a bottle from my local dealership.

Strange, I can only put it down to the garage not putting in enough, as I have no leaks, they would of shown up in my car spot.

Best thing is to check when engine is cold, but in your case add some just to make sure.

These systems due to capacity and length are hard to get all air out. After a few drive cycles you may need to top up a bit. Just use distiller water like you did.

Just keep a watch on the level. Sometimes if a leak is in the plumbing from front to rear you won't see any evidence on the garage floor since the under car panels would catch it. Also, the capacity is 32 liters so I wouldn't be overly concerned being 250ml low. Let us know what your cold measurement shows.

also, the level on these things is especially effected by checking it while parked on even the slightest un level ground.
That s not low enough to be worried about anything. Just top it off with the water and don t even bother with buying the expensive stuff (which you should never need to use anyway)....
