As mentioned in post 46 above, i got to drive the Model S P85D yesterday and got a short opportunity to run in Insane mode although there was never a safe moment to do this from a standstill due to downtown traffic. It was fast and smooth, instantly responsive, and completely quiet which made it all pretty surreal. It was satisfying in its own way but not as viscerally pleasing without the engine roar. Also tried out Autopilot mode which it did well. You still have to pay attention though and its pretty freaky not touching the steering wheel, gas, or brakes in traffic on a curvy road. Overall it was a very nice luxury car experience.

But its not a Porsche.
