Daohous - do you happen to have any pics of the underside, to see where/how many Würth screws were used. Also, what type of screws did he use...flat head, self piercing, etc.

Are you guys still happy with the resilience of the lip and install after some time passed? Does it make a big difference from stock 997.2 when going over speed humps or the higher speed bumps?

Thanks again for sharing your experiences!
They were philips button head self tappers i'll have to ask him what size he used but they were not long at all and with the 6-8 that holding the lip in place it's very secure. I've rubbed coming in and backing up driveways and it's holding up really well.

Looks great! How did they attach it to the bumper in your situation?
It would be nice to see some pics taken outdoors. It looks like they mounted yours a little more forward on the bumper than I did. In fact the position on yours is a little more like it is installed on the 991. Mine was set back a little more because of the way I attached it to the old lip mounting clips.

Both options look great imho.

The old lip was not reused in my case. He had a 991 with the sport lip in the shop, so he pretty much mounted it to match the 991. It took him about a couple hours with a heat gun and nuts/bolts. I have noticed a much improved handling at high speed with the lip as well. No scratching when taking steep curbs but I'm running stock pasm.

I like these screws as they cut their own holes through the (soft) plastic (no drilling required) and because of the wide head they distribute the force that holds the lip in place more evenly
Excellent - thanks for sharing the links.
Now we just need some pics

I'll post some pics on the weekend. The screws were a bit of a hack job (not too proud of it) it was a bit trial and error and I went down the wrong path first.

I have been scouring the internet trying to find a simple and small lip for a 997.1. I think this might be the best option, but anyone familiar with this lip and the shape of the 997.2 vs the .1, know if it will fit or what kind of obstacles might run into? I am not a huge fan of the FVD (sticks out to far and too big unless get the side skirts, which I don't want) and the Maxton just is to low and also not liking the design.

Not sure if you live near a Porsche dealership, but if you do then buy one (it's less than $250) and see if it fits. If it doesn't fit return it (talk to them about that beforehand and make sure they take it back if it's unused)

not that that is a ton of money, but if someone else has been down this road, i'd rather not just flush the time it takes and money down the toilet. I am not sure how the 997.2 front is shaped different than the .1 in that area

As promised here are a few pictures of my installation job.

A few remarks:
a) yes the car needs to be washed ;-)
b) wow - that's a lot of screws. Well if you look at all the scuff marks that were already on my bumper it's a little easier to bring yourself to put more holes in it. I fugured more screws will distribute any impact more evenly
c) is the new front lip already scratched? Yes, there is one nasty driveway that I have to take that just "keeps on giving"
d) what is the blue pipe? Well this is reinforcement so that the lip doesn't flex too much (at high speeds or at ground impact). It's a 1/2" plastic pipe that I had laying around
e) Your car looks low - yes it's a C4S which has an OEM ride hight of 20mm lower than stock
f) what fasteners did you use? (see earlier post)
