Just noticed that overboost arrow now shows in 1st and 2nd gear regardless of RPM when floored. Prior to the exhaust I only noticed it in 3rd over 3000rpm.

Is this a direct result of the exhaust and its lower EGT's or did I just not pay close enough attention beforehand???

 

The exhaust lets it spool up faster, it's all good!

 

Ok since I only have 400 miles on my '08 and haven't even went WOT or over 3500 rpm yet, what's this overboost arrow?

 

well, your 200m over due then! Overboost arrow comes on when all the mystery settings align (rpm, egt, gear) and 'sport' mode is chosen and as it sounds, throws down a bit more boost vs, no sport mode on.

From the factory it only happens in third gear, over 3000 rpm for 10 second intervals. After the exhaust install it happens now in 1st gear on up at much lower rpms which I can only assume is to the egt's being reduced due to the exhaust.

 

And there's an arrow that actually shows up on the display cluster?

 

Indeed, small arrow.

 

It is indeed a very small arrow and you have to really look and know where to look.

 

Kinda hard to stare at the dash when you're WOT in 3rd.
