Garage 2.0
Garage 2.0
Hey Guys,
Most of the time, of course, we talk about our cars on these forums. This time around I thought I would switch things up by talking about a garage. Let's face it, our cars, even the daily drivers, spend most of their time in these garages so it's worth at least a quick mention. Here's the story…
My wife told me she wanted to change the garage and make it "worthy" of the DBS. I agreed (as you can see from the first "before" picture) and gave her some themes, colors and ideas that she could run with for her new project. By the way, she's into interior design.
Here were the steps:
The pictures are not of great quality but I hope it's enough to give you an idea of the transformation. I'm not sure of the limits on images so I may need to post more than once for all of the pictures.
As you can see, the garage is now much more fitting for the DBS…I hope you agree.

Here were the steps:
- Moved all of the "crap" out of the garage
- Had painters come in and paint the walls a light Grey and the trim and interior doors a slightly darker Grey
- Repainted the ceiling White
- Installed Black and Grey floor tiles with a checkered pattern in the middle
- Replaced all receptacles with diamond plate covers and black outlets
- Painted the house circuit breaker boxes Black
- Had 4 new overhead lights installed to replace the 2 old ones
- Installed diamond plate kick plates at the bottom of the two interior doors
- Picked up some tool cabinets/drawers from a local hardware store (3 pieces)
- Installed some tool tracks on 2 walls and various hooks (8 tracks total)
- Hung 2 steering wheel extension cord holders (with suicide ***** for easy spooling and unspooling)
- Added a fire extinguisher in the back of the room for an accent color ("her words, not mine"
) - Installed a motion activated hand cleaner dispenser
- Installed a workshop paper towel dispenser
- Added a floor rack for long-handled outdoor tools
- Placed a diamond plate trash can between the tool cabinets
- Added a workshop stool
- Placed an iPod stereo system on top of one of the cabinets
- Hung a racing brake disc clock with Red caliper
- Placed a convex workshop mirror in a corner near the ceiling
- Added a 6' canvas picture of an underground station in England
The pictures are not of great quality but I hope it's enough to give you an idea of the transformation. I'm not sure of the limits on images so I may need to post more than once for all of the pictures.

I love it.
My wife said the exact same thing 6 months ago and I went through a similar transformation. Nicely done. Check out the Gladiator Garage 30" wall units as they are outstanding and will compliment your garage nicely.

Thanks. I looked at the Gladiator setup but, although they looked great, I wanted more of a contrast since the walls are a lighter color so I went with Black cabinets.
