Interior lighting

I've seen several posts discussing the lack of interior lighting in the vehicle. What are some solutions members have done?

Led lights? What's the bulb size?

Do a search. There are at least two detailed threads about installing LEDs.

FYI - it has been about 4 years since I replaced my original bulbs w/ the new ones in the thread ... still no issues.

I just did this upgrade and it worked awesome. All 4 interior bulbs can be replaced in under 10 minutes. You do not have to dismantle the overhead map light assembly like once thought. Just use a thin blade screwdriver and pry downward gently just under the plastic ring and the housings will pop out. The footwell lights simply twist out of the housing and can then be pulled out easily. I chose lights that match the instrument panel near perfectly. It only costs like $25 bucks shipped. Here's the part number I used.

Superbrightleds.com.

WLED-CW6

The CW stands for cool white.

LEDs are pretty much on or off. I suspect that the nice fade-out of the original map and footwell bulbs as they go off is lost once you switch LEDs?

LED's fade out slowly just like factory bulbs but they are much better IMO.

Not true. There are many variable intensity LED tactical flashlights out there too. I have one made by Nitecore that has a ring to adjust brightness continuously from off to 285 lumens.
