Thanks guys! It's difficult to capture the true color on my DB9. The first picture is very representative of how it looks in person. It really is a stunning color in person. Hard to believe this car sat on a dealers lot for 1.5 years and nobody scooped it up. Could be the 6-speed trans but, I specifically wanted a manual trans, the color was the bonus! Their loss, my gain I guess. The color is called Winchester Blue and first appeared on an Aston Martin in the 60's. Is it possible this is the only modern day AM painted this color?
Thanks Lon, for your comment. Hopefully, my P44SCs will be here in a couple weeks? They're 20s and brushed w/clear! ......can't wait! Maybe you know somebody who can pull some strings and get the production date bumped up????

Don't think so I've seen that color several times. On DB9 and Volante, as well as Vantage. The latest one I saw with that color was at Britian on the Green there was a Vantage that color. There are pics online I think some on the mid atl forums. It is a pretty color though for sure, harkons back to a sort of baby blue, quite vibrant.
Where was this cars & coffee you went to? Do you ever come up to the one in Great Falls VA? There are some nice cars there when the weather is nice...

The C&C event was/is in Charlotte the first Saturday of each month. Every once in a while some nice cars show up at local C&C but usually some pretty unexciting stuff.... I bet there are some really nice cars in the D.C. area...... I know you know but my AM started life in No VA. I have a sister that lives in the area and do get there occiasionally.
I know I've seen it haven't asked each owner specifically or peeled the bonnet and front cross member cover to check each paint code.. The other two blues look identical sometimes manufactures call the same paint two different names i.e. Diamond silver metallic = iridium silver in the Mercedes world. Why would Aston even make 3 shades of blue that look the same? Makes no sense... Could be it's the same color or renamed. I think your color may be fairly rare but it's super close to the other blues, I don't think it's the only example on a late model Aston.. If there are 2 other colors in the external palatte range so strikingly similar to it I don't see how it could be. Perhaps if there were some database with mined info for build numbers and colors and models.
Pictures from Britian on the green, a car show in Alexandria VA held each year... Only 4 astons were present. 2 were part of the show (my db9 and my friends red vanquish parked next to me) the other 2 were vantage's visiting and in the parking areas... On was a red volante and the other was the Winchester blue (or whatever identical blue) coupe...

With all due respect Sunir, you do not know for sure what color the cars are you're talking about nor do you know for sure whether or not there are more modern day AMs painted Winchester Blue then I do. You are speculating just as I am wondering about how many, if any, modern day AMs are Winchester Blue. I have no idea why manufacturers paint cars similar colors but even then, they are most likely different formulas than the original? Some color formulas are tweaked year to year and the name isn't changed......
