Just bought another Aston today
Thanks, I was wondering if people would notice or like it. I designed it that way to be more subtle than a full lipstick. I'm going to be doing the same thing to the area inside the side strakes when I replace them with the carbon fiber ones.
I have only driven it from the dealership to my house. It's going to sit in my garage for a little while because I want to correct any paint imperfections and then apply a paint coating before it faces the elements. Also, I have to take the bumpers off in order to install the carbon splitter and diffuser. The problem is that it's been so hot here that it makes working in the garage a not-so-pleasant experience at the moment. I can't wait for it to cool down some from the 105+ degree heat indexes.
I will say that I'm glad I went with the "comfort" suspension option. It absorbs a lot more of the bumps on the road than my 4.3 did. It is also a lot quieter on highway cruise. The car has a sport exhaust but the fuse is still in so at cruising speeds it is fairly serene. Once you pass 4K RPM though, it's like the exhaust angels were released from heaven and it sounds glorious. Truly epic. Pressing the Sport Mode button lowers the RPM at which the valves open to 3K. I will be installing a remote relay so I can select to have the valves open throughout the entire rev range and only close it if I'm on the highway for a long time.
The other thing that I noticed is that you don't feel how fast you are going as much. It's easy to find yourself going 25mph or more over the speed limit if you're not paying attention. The most recent exotic I had driven was the Huracán and the Aston is not nearly at fast but it's hard to compare the speed to the 4.3 now because I haven't driven that car in more than 2 months. I'm sure the extra 50HP makes a big difference.

What a great looking car. Love the interior… It really goes very well with the exterior colors. What is that green like in person? It photographs really well well and at time looks dark, other times it looks really light, and it even appears to have a little silver / grey in it? I bet that color is the sort that in person is even better and photos don't do it justice?
Ah man, wish you'd told me you were picking up on Saturday. I would have loved to come witness the event.
When I was considering a GT, Philip suggested that the "white" interior material might be a little peculiar but with the two tone blend you spec'd, it looks brilliant!
So, GT prices are going up? I think the feeling I'm having right now is known as "wish I'd been a buyer's" remorse.
Like others, I love the inner lipstick (and I generally hate full lipstick). Even more brilliant with the addition of that V12S grille. Just an all around brilliant combination of choices and details. You sir, have the touch.

When I ordered the car, Phil also tried to talk me out of the light interior (which is more light gray than the white it looks like in the pictures). In the end, he admitted he would never have been bold enough to choose the color combinations I chose but that they did come out looking rather stunning and everyone was stopping by to check it out. He also mentioned that he wouldn't be surprised if mine was the only one built with that color combination since most people would never think of putting coarse yellow stitching on light gray leather. All I know is I like how it came out so I'm happy.
