Yes, but as you surely know (since you own both front-mid and rear-mid cars), the handling characteristics and feel differ.

Honestly, as much as I wish it to be otherwise, I'm afraid I'm just not a good enough driver to really tell the difference that much.

I attribute most of the difference in "feel" to simply just being two different cars. But I couldn't purport that the difference I notice is due to the handling characteristics of each.

Actually, its a sign that you are doing a lot right. The folks that have no clue , condemn the rear engine or front engine designs over mid engine layouts, when in competition, they all seem to work alike when driven to the edge. Again, its all personal preference and what duty you will be asking of the car.
