DEFINITELY sell it yourself. I can't remember the last time I traded in a car. I've found that the inevitable insulting offers really take a lot of pleasure/excitement out of the experience of buying a new car.

The '12 V8V S I bought last October depreciated at $3 / mile driven. I thought our Lexus was bad at a buck a mile!

If you drive more miles, the depreciation per mile goes down...so drive the wheels off it.

(with every receipt and complete upkeep record from new) would fetch, but believe the premium I would get for selling say a 20K example is just not worth the missed joy of driving.
