We are off by 5/8 at the bottom - cover has to go aft. The inlets are as good as it get vertical horizontal.

We are buttoning up the front. Everything had to be trimmed aft 1/4" and we had to provide clearance for the lower grill mounting tabs.

L brackets attached for mounting the ducts

We clearanced the ducts at the top to accommodate the lower grill mounting tabs. Our oil cooler mounts had to be clearanced also.

Engine plate sealed to OC duct. We used some rubber door trim on the bottom of the feet.

An enormous amount of detail to get everything to fit with the OEM suuroundings. Nothing contacts the bumper or lower grill.

And ducts installed - just have to cut the toe point access hole in grill.

We got the car off of the rack this morning so we could rinse it off and get some perspective of ride height on the ground.

Goes back on the rack Monday. Still have to fab spacers for the grill and fab a plug for the toe point. Then it is off to the exhaust guys for headers back and Stuarts tune. Very exciting

Funny - pictures just never do these cars justice.

I realize this is not Aston related, but it is "stuff I'm working on"

I wanted to share these wheels with you. They are Watanabe R Type in Magnesium.

15X8 13.2 lbs
15x10 14 lbs.

I ordered them in September and just got them. A bit of risk ordering them because I could not get drawings. My brake package has to be re-engineered, but it looks like a set of Dynapro calipers and 11.750 rotors will solve it . I am trying to reach total un-sprung weight of 80lbs on the front corners. I started at 102. It is been a lot of work - pretty sure we got it. Will weigh it next week.

We got the upper grill installed. The grill is aftermarket and requires spacers. Fab-ing and fumbling around with the spacers can be a little aggravating so we went a little different direction.

The fastener threads are 6x1 so we got hold of some all thread and cut two 3 inch lengths. The all thread is threaded all the way into the cross tube until it bottoms out. Then flat washer, nut, rubber grommet, flat washer, and another nut.

The feet of the grill end up slipping into the grommet and then just tighten down the nut. Should the bumper cover need to come off, the entire threaded assembly is easily un-threaded from the cross tube maintaining the grommet height.

We added a grommet at the top also.

Removal and install are a snap. You don't have to reach in with your hands - just an extension.

Looks great.

FYI, even the OEM grilles require spacers.
