No - not yet. My shop bog-ed on me. I have been driving the car so hate to put it back on the rack. I think we may put it back and just swap everything from the headers back and then install the headers over the winter. The weather is so nice here now and I am really enjoying driving it. Beautiful little car.

I really want to gray lip stick the nose. Can any of you advise me on this. I have it painted? Use wrap?

That really looks good. It is customary to paint the inner surround also?

I see Plasti does have a gray paint.

No - I got it from Stuart. IIRC its a Sport.

We used Fabspeed cats and x-pipe. VAP headers, muffle, and tune.

We just have to go back and check all of the fasteners and then we will start it in the morning. If no leaks we will flash tune. All of the components supplied by both companies are of outstanding quality and there were no fitment issues.

I do not like Astons installation of the cat sensors. Wiring should never have to be twisted and we should not have to uninstall the heat shield. Would much prefer a quick disconnect at the sensor. The disconnects could have been configured to push up inside the heat shield.

A couple of things we learned

VAP Sport Exhaust abandons factory fasteners (bolts & springs). Instead assemble with 55mm 8X1.25 bolts - we used 2" 5/16 X 18.

Fabspeed X-pipe does not use a center support. We ground the bracket off of the OEM system and re-used it.

Bracket ground off

We used some 25mm (long) bolts to get the bracket attached, but will finish with the OEM short bolts

The bracket does not fit perfectly because of the differences in the tube locations. We cut up some DEI insulation and will install it between the bottom bracket and the X pipe.

With any luck it will be sealed with no rattles.
