2012-14 V8 Vantage Manual Reliability

On the market for a '12 to '14 v8 vantage 6spd stick shift with around 5k to 15k miles, so low miles. I know about the 3 yr bumper to bumper extended warranty, but with these later cars is reliability (clutch life, sensors, etc.) good? This will be a weekend car mostly and I don't wan to be spending time at the dealership. Thanks!!!

I have 2013 V8 with 6 speed manual, no problems so far 8K miles, very reliable car, I drive mostly on weekends . 6 speed is the way to go. good luck with search. they're little harder to find than sport shift cars, but I'm sure you'll find it.

I have a 2012 Vantage S with 20k on the clock. The biggest item repaired under warranty was replacement of the rear lights for condensation. Otherwise I’ve only had to do annual services.

They're as reliable as a 911 FWIW.

I have a 2012 vantage 6speed. it has 39,000 miles on it including multiple track events. The only problem it has had was about 4 yrs ago it had condensation in one of the tail lights. This was fixed under warranty. I dropped the extended warranty after the first yr and am quite happy I did. The only other issue which is mostly associated with daily driving is the leather on the dash shrinks and I had to have some of the panels redone at a staggering cost of $100 from a local interior shop and I replaced the piano black waterfall due to some mild cracking. Otherwise its been a rock solid car don't hesitate buy one

The clutch on my 2009 manual started slipping badly at around 25,000 miles, and I couldn't use most of the power without the RPM shooting up and going nowhere for it. No idea how aggressively the previous owners drove it but the dealer said that time frame is not unusual. I installed the uprated, dual plate AMR clutch instead and it's a completely different car. IMO this is the clutch the car should have come with. It grabs much sooner and towards the bottom of the pedal range so it took some getting used to but it's like a new car and should last longer too. Well worth the slight premium if you do have to replace yours.

If you powershift your vantage... you will need a clutch in 20k miles. If you drive it like you did not steal it... clutches will last a long time.

2006, 80k miles. Daily driven for the last 6yrs by me... Prior two owners were 'adults'... I drive fast but not with the intent of hurting the car..

VERY reliable car... Usual things people note.. headlight/taillight failures, leather dash shrinkage.

Occasionally people do get an oddball big problem, but that can happen with any car.

Basic maintenance, plugs at 70k, fluids as usual. No timing belt service (chain). Excellent exotic to maintain.

Just for perspective, if you beat the hell out of your cars, the Vantage can be a little pricey, but so is a 911!
New engine = $42K (rebuild = $15K)
New Transaxle = $22K (rebuild = $6K)
Replace stock clutch with twin clutch + AMR flywheel = $5K
