I have been offered a 2009 DBS Coupe with a manual transmission. Are these really that uncommon and are they worth a premium to purchase. The selling price seems to be around $125K and the car has 24K miles on it. Thoughts?

How many came to the USA? How Many V12 Vantages in the USA (2011, 2015,2016 & 2017)???

 

Remember, it is a manual transmission and that is what is supposed to make them so valuable. Is that true?

 

Manuals demand a premium over the auto cars in general, however (from memory) the early DBS's only came as manual cars so not sure about the rarity on your 2009 coupe.

 

DB9 manuals are a lot rarer than DBS manuals. But neither will appreciate in value like modern manual Ferraris. I don't see too much of a premium for buying a manual DBS but there is easily a 2x premium for a manual DB9 in the US.

I saw it at the dealership earlier this week when I picked mine up from service. It’s beautiful.

 

Pro tip: Don't buy cars as investments. If you enjoy driving it enough to justify the cost, buy it.

 

The DBS Coupe in Manual is not that rare (984 of the 2534 Coupes built), mainly because of the first few years only Manuals were produced. When the Volante was introduced, also the Touchtronic became available, as a consequence, later manual DBS Coupes and the DBS Volante Manual are much rarer (44 of the 845 Volantes built ,of which 26 LHD in the Americas, 8 RHD in the UK and 10 LHD in EU).

At Cars & Coffee yesterday in Minneapolis, as I was pulling in, there was a DBS Coupe parked next to another V12S - I think it's even nicer looking than the (which I have a 2017) V12S, but too big of a car for me, but timeless. Apparently after I left, another one showed up!

 

I think you'd be better off buying a V12 Vantage S for the same money. More of a drivers car.
