What401k is infamous around these parts
New AMV owner

Greetings,

Just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. My name is Matt and I just picked up my first Aston Martin. It’s a low mileage ‘08 Roadster and I’m incredibly excited as I’ve wanted one for years. I’m a long time car fanatic and the other “fun” cars at the moment are a ‘92 Acura NSX and a ‘70 corvette.

I look forward to participating in the forums and will attempt to keep the dumb new owner questions to a minimum.

In the meantime my first order of business is finding a new set of wheels as the chrome factory 19’s aren’t my cup of tea. By chance are any forum members selling any used wheels/tires at the moment?

Matt

Thank you everyone! I honestly can’t wait. I’m headed out on a week-long work trip beginning this weekend and pick up the car once I’m back. The anticipation is killing me. Thankfully I’ve been able to keep myself occupied ordering parts for it. Now I just need to hopefully find a new set of wheels so I can swap out the chrome stockers ASAP (no offense to chrome wheel fans!)

My car came with chrome wheels too and it really bothered me.

I ended up using plastidip to turn them black in the interim, while I shopped for new wheels.

You may want to consider that as an alternative while you wait for the right wheels to come along. There are lots of videos on how to do it and they sell plastidip at the hardware store.

Look at BC Forged wheels, they are out of Orlando. Great high quality wheels. Redpants.lol a forum sponsor is having a sale on them at this time and will help with correct sizes for you

I bought my BC Forged wheels from them in Ormond Beach Florida. They were great to work with. If you look on their web site they used my Vantage in a photo shoot. They also had it in their brochure. Congratulations on you Aston wish many happy miles.

Thank you so much for the info. I didn’t realize BC was relatively local to me here in the area so that’s perfect!

Congratulations!

She is beautiful!!

FYI, This is a Vantage Roadster not a Volante.
The Volante is the db9, they chose the naming since the volante is a soft cruiser vs the roadster is a sports car with retractable top.

I may will have a set of pristine Sport pack wheels for sale.
